Hannah Shipton joins our Strategic Advisory Board

We are delighted to announce that Hannah Shipton, Managing Director of Abel & Cole has joined the Strategic Advisory Board of the OTB.

Having joined Abel and Cole in 2006 as Head of Customer Services, Hannah's first role on the Board was Sales & Customer Director, followed by Marketing Director. She has been Managing Director since 2016.  She is passionate about good food, cooking and of course, organic.

Adrian Blackshaw said “I am delighted that Hannah Shipton is joining the OTB Strategic Board. She brings experience and knowledge across organic categories from a consumer facing company, making her an invaluable addition to the team. The OTB has a vision to make organic an everyday choice. Forever. Our ambitious plans to achieve this are outlined in our strategic plan.”

Hannah said "With the Abel & Cole mission closely aligned with the vision of the OTB, I am really pleased and excited to be joining the Strategic Board to help the OTB bring this to life."

As an independent, member-funded organisation representing over 75% of the UK organic sector, we unify the industry around our vision to make organic an everyday choice, forever.

Our members range from independent retailers, to multiple grocers, recipe and box schemes, brands, processors, manufacturers, certifiers, and many more.

The Strategic Advisory Board will be guiding the OTB through Brexit and beyond, working with Defra, partner organisations and members to ensure that we have a green Brexit where organic standards are protected and supported.

With a clear strategic plan in place to drive growth of organic, the board will help ensure the OTB delivers to its core priorities, so we are able to achieve our ambitious goals for the sector.
